New LineUp Version Released This release of the LineUp software has a number of advances. You are now able to add movie ratings, star ratings, actors names, and year the movie was release to either the title, or the notes. This release also includes an error checking protocol to ensure content accuracy. LineUp Electronic Programming Guide Released DSI unveiled it's newest product, a Electronic Programming Guide (or Passive Programming Guide) called LineUp. Award Winning Electronic Programming Guide On May 10 DSI attended the SABEX Awards Gala in Saskatoon. DSI was a finalist in two categories - Exports and Best New Product. We are pleased to announce that we were awarded Best New Product for the LineUp Electronic Programming Guide! The SABEX Awards are the prestigious Saskatoon Achievement & Business Excellence Awards, put on by the Saskatoon & District Chamber of Commerce. This year marked the 10th year of the SABEX Awards Gala, recognizing regional businesses in eight different categories of excellence, as well as a business of the year category. 05-26-2005	Version 6.0.1.56 Released This version deals mainly with the integration of LineUp EGP software. 	Version 6.0.1.59 Released The latest version of DSI software focused mainly on importing of video files such as mpeg, mpg2, avi and wmv file. DSI also added the ability to import Macromedia Flash (.swf). 10-06-2005
LineUp EPG wins award for Best New Product On October 29, 2005, DSI was presented with the ABEX Award Technology in Action Best New Product for the LineUp Electronic Programming Guide. The award was presented by the Saskatchewan Research Council on behalf of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. The SRC also presented DSI with a $10,000 cash prize to aid in the development and marketing of the LineUp EPG. 11-02-2005

New USB Security Dongle with DSI Software DSI will now be shipping a USB style security dongle instead of the original parallel port style dongle with all products. The reason for the switch is that more and more computers are being shipped without parallel ports. Current users who have the original style parallel port dongle will still be able to update their software to the latest version. DSI will continue to make all new versions backwards compatible so that the parallel dongle will still be functional. 01-14-2004	New Software Packaging Along with the new USB security dongle, DSI has designed a new software package. Now, when you order software, you will receive a CD with the latest version of software, a USB key, and a quick start guide in a DVD case to get your new character generator up and running quickly. There is no longer a paper manual included with the software. A complete electronic manual is available on the CD for your reference. Version 6.0.1.53 Released This version mainly consists of the final writing for the USB Style Dongle key that DSI is now shipping. The previous version also contained support for the USB dongle. This version also includes a fix for random disappearing graphics. 04-05-2004	SCTE 2004 Huge Success The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo held in June at Orlando, FL was a huge success for DSI. On display for the first time, was a demonstration of DSI's latest product being developed called LineUp. LineUp is an affordable Passive Programming Guide, or sometimes called an EPG. DSI Now Selling Digital Cameras DSI is pleased to announce that we will now be offering a digital camera as an option on ELITE2000 & ELITEGOLD systems. The customer will have the choice of selecting either the digital camera or a flatbed scanner with their turn-key system purchase. However, the customer may choose to purchase the digital camera as an extra option so they can have both the scanner and the camera. Please call your sales representative at (306) 934-6884 for current digital camera pricing, and specifications. 01-09-2003	Version 6.0.1.50 Released DSI has just released version 6.0.1.50. This release of software has many new features that have been added. Auto-Hide toolbars in the Text Editor, Drag & Drop support in the Scheduler, and Dynamic Ascii import are just a few of the new features added to this version. This is a maintenance release for the previous version, which will fix a few minor bugs. This version continues to add enhancements to the scheduler, allowing more pages to be seen while editing a schedule. However, the time synchronization and contact closure features of the DSI software are still being fine tuned and are not available in this release of the software. 08-19-2003

3 Year Warranty now Standard on Complete Systems Effective immediately, DSI is now offering a 3 year warranty on all complete systems... for FREE! DSI started this offer as a special promotion in the summer of 2001 till the end of the 2001 year. This was a value of $400 to $600US/system. The promotion went so well, that DSI decided to make the 3 year warranty standard, at no extra cost to the customer. Contact your DSI sales representative for more details. 01-02-2002	DSI Attending SCTE & North Central Trade Shows Currently, DSI will be attending 2 trade shows for the 2002 year. The first show will be the North Central Cable Show in Minneapolis, MN on March 11-12, 2002. Attending the show will be Richard Haubrich, and Edgar Emond. Look for them in booth #521. DSI Drops Pricing on ELITE Products Effective immediately, the prices for the ELITE2000 and ELITEGOLD complete systems has dropped. The ELITE Creation systems have dropped by a substantial amount. Display Only systems, have less hardware and have dropped a lower amount. Not only did the pricing drop, but the computer specifications increased on the ELITE products. Now standard on ELITE products are a 1.6 GHz P4 processor with 256MB RAM, 20 Gig hard drive, and 32 Meg video card. Combine these specifications, the lower price, free software updates and free 3 year warranty, and you have one of the best values in the market. 01-15-2002	Text Editor Manual Revision: Update The Text Editor section of the manual is currently scheduled to be released at the end of February, 2002. The process involves rewriting all guides that comprise our manual to reflect all changes to the software and writing new guides for all the new features. Each new feature in the software is written in a step by step process for new users to follow. Upon completion of the text editor portion of the manual, the scheduler section will be the next section to be revised. For those of you who have been waiting for an updated manual, we thank you for your patience. Version 6.0.1.47 Released DSI has just released version 6.0.1.47. This release is classified as a maintenance release that deals with potential problems with VCR controllers. Support for multiple VCR controller interfaces has been streamlined and updated. This maintenance release also addresses XP stability issues and Windows 2000 issues as well. Beta testing on version 6.0.1.46 was deemed successful, prompting this release. Font updating within our communications was also improved. Version 6.0.0.33 Now Shipping The current version that is being shipped is version 6.0.0.33. The communications protocols implemented in this version are noticeably more stable than in prior versions and 6.0.0.33 offers multiple communications profiles for use on creation systems. Set up network, modem and null modem protocols all on one machine and then choose the communications profile you wish to use. August: New Version Update The latest version of the DSI95 software is currently being tested. On the ELITEGOLD, the new version will offer the ability to insert a URL from the web directly into your schedule. This advance will make the ELITEGOLD a product that is heads above the competition. The html pages can be used for displaying weather information from a web site such as forecasts. The new version also supports the use of filters on database pages. These filters can be used to isolate particular information on the database pages. In conjunction with the filters and the start/expiry option, you can use the database to display information that is time sensitive. This allows users to be able to set up indexed pages linked to a database for display. This new version is currently being tested and will soon be available. This new version will have the ability to post pages from the schedule to a web site for viewing with Internet Explorer.
